GENERAL RIDING QUESTIONS

Do I need riding experience?

No. Many of our guests are first-time riders. Our trail rides and guided experiences are designed to be beginner-friendly and led by our staff.

For guests who are interested in learning more than just trail riding, riding lessons are also available. Visit our Riding Lessons page to learn more

What ages can ride?

For trail rides, the minimum age is 7 years old.

We also offer other riding experiences for younger children, including pony rides, riding lessons, Mommy & Me programs, and additional youth riding programs designed for various ages and comfort levels.

If you are unsure which experience is best for your child, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help guide you.

Is horseback riding safe?

Horseback riding is an active outdoor activity and, like all animal experiences, involves inherent risk. Our horses are well trained, and all rides are supervised by our staff.

Helmets are provided and required for all riders under the age of 18, and strongly recommended for all riders. All participants must follow staff instructions at all times.

Do I need a reservation?

For trail rides and pony rides:

• During the winter season, reservations are required.
• During the spring, summer, and fall, we operate primarily on a walk-in basis.

We do offer a very limited number of early reservation time slots (such as the 10:00 and 10:30 rides). Outside of those times, rides are filled as guests arrive, and availability cannot be guaranteed.

Large groups (10 or more riders) must call ahead to schedule a reservation.

We strongly recommend arriving earlier in the day, especially on weekends and holidays, as wait times may vary based on staffing, weather, and horse availability.
